Teknikal Pertemuan PAS-UMNO sangat menarik perhatian.

"Khalil mempermainkan Nasharudin" (Dari FGR)
Wed Feb 28 14:03:14 2001
Tengok apa dah jadi. Si Nasharudin kena tipu
bulat-bulat.
Kalau dia tak kena dimainkan, kenapa tak hentam balik
UMNO masa isu pra-syarat mula dihebohkan (dijadikan
isu hangat) oleh UMNO dan media. Kenapa tunggu sampai
sekarang baru nak dedahkan konon pra-syarat tu dah
diberitahu pada UMNO sejak JK Teknikal pertama (lagi).
Akhbar "The Star" bijak permainannya. Dia siarkan
kenyataan Nasharudin kerana dia tahu dengan tahap
minda pembaca "The Star" yang agak tinggi, pembaca
akan buat rumusan si Nasharuddin membohong. Pembaca
akan tanya kenapa tak beritahu awal-awal lagi
(terutamanya semasa) pra-syarat (mula diheboh dan
dijadikan isu) oleh UMNO dan media. Kenapa tunggu
sampai sekarang.
Dibawah ini laporan "The Star."
PAS: Umno aware of preconditions from first meeting
JITRA: PAS has revealed that its preconditions for the
proposed Malay unity talks were "submitted'' at the
first technical committee meeting with Umno.
"Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob knew it
and so did the other three in the (Umno) team,'' PAS
secretary-general Nasharudin Mat Isa said after
opening the PAS information and trade exposition at
Kampung Padang Tok Kesop, Kubang Pasu, on Monday
night.
He said although there was "a verbal agreement'' not
to disclose the matter to the media, PAS was being
made a victim in Umno's recent campaign in blaming the
opposition party for stalling the talks.
Nasharudin said he had "no choice but to state the
facts of the matter.''
"The prerequisites are not new and were made known at
the technical meeting at Hotel Nikko,'' he said.
He said PAS had come under heavy fire lately following
Umno's repeated accusations that his party was not
interested in the talks by imposing four topics for
discussion and, later, a set of three prerequisites.
The four topics are the judiciary, the economy,
democracy and Islam.
The prerequisites imposed are reinstating the
Terengganu oil royalty payments; increasing the
frequency of publication of PAS' newsletter Harakah;
and calling off police action on opposition ceramah.
